On August 25, Katie Ledecky ’15 returned to Stone Ridge, her high school home, to visit the younger students in the community. Katie just returned from the Rio 2016 Olympics where she dominated the women's swimming field, winning five medals (four golds and one silver) and breaking her own world records. She started her day at Stone Ridge with an interview with PBS Newshour at the pool. Katie then made a surprise visit to the gym where our Lower and Middle School students were gathered for a special assembly.

We have a new 4PK teacher this year at Regis, Amanda Thorson, and I thought you might be interested in learning her story. She is a Sacred Heart “lifer”-having started at Duchesne Academy in Houston as an infant in the nursery, then as a student and graduate-and now coming full circle to teach at Regis!

This Catholic school network produced nine Rio Olympians
