International Art Exchange

Fourth graders at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School exchanged artwork throughout the school year with their ePals in Taiwan. This international exchange has been a part of Oak Hill’s art curriculum since 2006. Oak Hill student artwork is currently on display at the school in Tainan, Taiwan and Taiwanese student artwork is displayed at Oak Hill.

Seventh Class Students with Special Olympians

On a recent Saturday morning at the Academy of the Sacred Heart in St. Charles, Missouri, 26 Seventh Class students welcomed several small and very young Special Olympians and their siblings from St. Charles and St. Louis Counties for a morning of games, refreshments and fun.

Stuart Hall High School Video on Water Pollution

In the wake of Earth Week great news from Stuart Hall High School, San Francisco, CA.  Stuart Hall High School seniors, Kyle Chew and Grant Kawahatsu created a video on the topic of water pollution, "Our World, Our Responsibility," for the Just Video Contest.  The purpose of the contest was to create a short video on either human trafficking, water issues, or immigration and relate it to Catholic social teachings.

Certified Wildlife Habitat

Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School is celebrating its recent designation by the National Wildlife Federation.  America's largest conservation organization has officially identified the school’s nature trail as a Certified Wildlife Habitat.

Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School juniors Kristen Buehne, Meghan Grojean, Sophie Flotron, and Morgan Link were accepted into the 2012 Students and Teachers as Research Scientists (STARS) program at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. The Villa Duchesne students will be working with some of the top scientists and researchers in the St. Louis metro area. UMSL hosts this annual summer research program for academically talented junior and senior high school students.

Oak Hill Prays "Living" Stations of the Cross

Students at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School prayed a “living” Stations of the Cross during Lent. Oak Hill’s sixth grade class led the prayers at each Station as students in kindergarten through grade five traveled the footsteps of Jesus. Students prepared for the day by studying the significance of the 14 Stations of the Cross and creating signs to mark each Station.
