The Rio 2016 Olympics are almost here and we are excited to share that so far we know of several people participating in the Olympics with Sacred Heart ties:

Katie Ledecky a swimmer from StoneRidge, Bethesda, MA

Some North Shore middle school students got a brief preview of life on a high school campus by participating in Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart’s 2016 summer school program. Girls entering grades six through eight in the fall joined in two of the enrichment classes offered this summer at the all-girls college preparatory day and boarding school in Lake Forest. Most of them experienced community service firsthand by performing it at 10 Lake County sites, while the others learned about Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” and then performed an abbreviated version of it.

Nearly 80 girls from across the country are based at Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart’s boarding school this summer as they are given the opportunity to caddie daily along Chicago’s North Shore. Woodlands Academy, an all-girls college preparatory day and boarding high school in Lake Forest, is hosting the Western Golf Association’s 2016 Caddie Academy.
